MORBID ANGEL: 'Heretic' To Be Released In Different Formats
September 11, 2003MORBID ANGEL's forthcoming CD, "Heretic", will be released in several different formats, according to the group's label, Earache Records.
"Heretic" — due in the U.S. on September 23 (a day earlier internationally) through Earache Records — was recorded and mixed at D.O.W. (Diet Of Worms) studios in Seffner, Florida and was co-produced by the band and longtime front-of-house mixing engineer Juan "Punchy Gonzalez. The album — the group's ninth overall release (including their 1986 "Abominations Of Desolation" demo and the 1996 live album, "Entangled In Chaos") — marks a return to the fold of bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker, who originally left the band in early April 2001 due to "personal and family problems."
The following versions of "Heretic" will be available, according to Earache.com:
01. Box set — "Heretic" CD plus an 18-track unreleased "Bonus Levels" CD and free "Heretic" sticker, all housed in Deluxe Box. Available in stores in Germany only, or direct to your door from Earache's webstore.
02. Double Disc Slipcase — "Heretic" CD plus "Bonus Levels" CD housed in slipcase. Available from Earache USA on wholesale basis only.
03. Double Disc — comes with "Bonus Levels" CD. Available in stores everywhere.
04. 12" Vinyl Picture Disc — available from vinyl specialist stores everywhere.
05. Regular Single-Disc CD — available from stores that have no clue about the double-disc edition!
